Wild Roots Learning Collective
Wild Roots Learning Collective is a small, nature-based homeschool pod hosted at Flowerfield Farmstead in Three Rivers, Michigan.
Serving children ages 5–8 (Kindergarten–2nd grade levels), Wild Roots meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am–1:00pm in our rustic barn classroom and outdoor spaces.
This is a drop-off homeschool supplement designed to support foundational literacy and math while integrating:
• Daily outdoor hiking and movement
• Gardening and seasonal food growing
• Farm-based learning
• Simple cooking projects (including weekly Pizza Fridays)
• Project-based, hands-on exploration
• Character development rooted in kindness, responsibility, and stewardship
Wild Roots follows a seasonal calendar (April–November active months, with December and January off), aligning with the natural seasonal rhythms. We gather for simple seasonal celebrations, including solstice and equinox potlucks, and monthly family community dinners.
This is not a traditional school. Families remain responsible for primary instruction outside of collective hours. Wild Roots exists to provide structure, social connection, nature immersion, and meaningful hands-on learning in a small group setting.
Enrollment & Next Steps
We are currently gathering interest for our April 6, 2026 launch. If you are considering joining Wild Roots, we encourage you to complete the Family Interest Form as soon as possible.
We will be meeting with prospective families shortly and plan to finalize our group by early March.
Spots are limited in order to preserve the small-group experience.
